What is the nutrition panel based on?

What is the nutrition panel based on?

We want the nutrition information to be as easy to understand as possible!

The bar length represents the amount of each nutrient per portion in relation to 100% of the recommended daily intake. See detail in the tables below.

The colour coding reflects the Department of Health’s (DoH) traffic light labelling. Where 100g data isn’t available, we’ve aligned it as closely as possible by applying the same ratios as per the 100g data and DoH’s guidance where an amount per serving should be presented as “red”.

The values are maximum amounts based on an average female adult consuming 2000 calories per day.

90g for total sugar includes sugars found naturally in milk, milk products and whole fruit plus ‘free sugars’ (30g).

The Reference Nutrient Intake for protein is set at 0.75g of protein per kilogram body weight per day in adults. This equates to approximately 56g/day and 45g/day for men and women aged 19-50 years respectively (50g on average). The fibre recommendation is based on 17 years+.

If you don’t want to see the nutrition information you have the option to turn off calories and close this panel down in the app!
